AmaZulu FC has confirmed an untimely death of its lethal striker Bonginkosi Ntuli who passed away on Sunday 05 October 2023 in Pietermaritzburg.
According to club statement,Ntuli was(very recently) diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer,which metastasized and ultimately led to his death at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital,in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
The club has requested to be given time to digest this sad news and privacy must be given to his family and friends in this difficult time.
He joined AmaZulu FC permanently five years ago after he was loaned to them twice by his former Mamelodi Sundowns which played only one match for it.
He began his senior football career with Lamontville Golden Arrows between 2012-2014 where he made 54 appearances and he scored 13 goals during his stint there.
He was loaned to Usuthu in 2015 by his club then Mamelodi Sundowns,he made 12 appearances and scored 6 goals.
Between 2015-2018,he was loaned to Platinum Stars and with Dikwena made 63 appearances and he managed to score 14 goals.
In 2018,Sundowns decided to loan him to AmaZulu for the second time and during that season he found back off the net 5 times in 15 appearances.
Then in 2019,he joined Usuthu permanently up until his death and he was featured in 85 games and scored 35 goals for a Durban-based side.
On overall in the Premier Soccer League he played 230 matches and scored 73 goals in all clubs he played for.
He began his amateur career in the Vodacom League with Sobantu Shooting Stars and then joined Golden Arrows B a feeder of Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Personal life
He was born in Pietermaritzburg,KwaZulu-Natal on 28 March 1991 and he got married to his beloved wife two months ago on September 2023.
