A series of explosive documents leaked today by the “faceless” investigative journalist known as Baas Kruger has shattered the official narrative surrounding the 2021 death of Deputy National Commissioner Lieutenant-General Sindile Mfazi.

These files center on a high-stakes disclosure by Pilasande Honenimous Dotyeni, a former SAPS Crime Intelligence Analyst specialising in digital surveillance and financial systems monitoring.

Invoking the Protected Disclosures Act 26 of 2000, Dotyeni alleges that the highest office in the land orchestrated a clinical “sanitization” of a crime scene to bury evidence of a state-sponsored assassination and a multi-billion rand corruption network.

The assassination: Beyond the “COVID” shield

In July 2021, the nation was told General Mfazi succumbed to COVID-19. Today's leak provides a chilling correction. Following a court-ordered exhumation, independent toxicology reports reportedly confirmed the presence of liquid casting resin – a synthetic industrial toxin – in Mfazi's system.

Dotyeni's disclosure asserts that Mfazi was eliminated after his investigations into the Phala Phala farm burglary and R1.6 billion PPE fraud threatened the inner circle of the Presidency.

The executive “Clean-Up” crew

The most damning allegations involve the minutes immediately following Mfazi's death. The documents describe a calculated breach of protocol directed from the heart of the state:

  • High-Level Intrusion: Within hours of Mfazi passing away – while his body was still in the house – a Chief of Staff in the Presidency allegedly arrived on the scene.
  • Evidence Seizure: Under executive authority, Mfazi's state-issued laptops and cellphones were seized. Dotyeni claims these devices were systematically “wiped,” and physical investigative dossiers were removed and shredded.
  • Domestic Lockdown: Mfazi's widow, Lindelwa, was reportedly barred from entering her own home while this “sanitization” operation was carried out.

The Phala Phala smoking gun

Why was Mfazi a target? The leaked files suggest he had uncovered the “ultimate rot”: an unauthorised covert operation funded by the Secret Services Account (SSA). Mfazi's notes reportedly proved that the Presidency utilised “off-the-books” police units to track and recover the currency stolen from the President's farm, bypassing all legal dockets and oversight.

The evidence that survived: The pocket book

The conspiracy allegedly failed to account for one item: Mfazi's official SAPS pocket book. Today's leak by Baas Kruger confirms this physical diary is now a central piece of evidence for parliamentary investigators. It reportedly contains:

  • A Log of Death Threats: Received by Mfazi starting in December 2020.
  • Specific Names: Identification of the Presidency officials and SAPS leadership – including General Vuma – who pressured him to cease his inquiries.
  • The “FDA Syndicate”: Detailed notes on a multi-billion rand corruption network, Mfazi was preparing to expose just days before he died.

Conclusion: A crisis of state

By bringing these “faceless” leaks into the light, Baas Kruger and whistleblower Pilasande Dotyeni have challenged the very foundation of the High Office. The allegation is no longer just corruption, but a murder and a cover-up orchestrated from the very office sworn to uphold the law.

“The truth is not found in the official press release, but in the files they tried to burn.” – Pilasande Dotyeni, Parliament Testimony, February 2026.
