The Senegalese international footballer Sadio Mane has been confirmed on Wednesday as the majority owner of the French Championnat National 2 club Bourges Foot 18.

Mane's decision to acquire the majority shareholding of the club in France proves that he is planning his future after football.

His involvement in the French football would open many opportunities for young athletes in his home country Senegal to ply their trade in Europe.

The owners of the club aim to see their club playing in the French top flight Ligue 1 by 2030.

Sadio Mane is currently in Saudi Arabia where he plays for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.

He joined Al Nassr this season after he cancelled his contract with Bayern Munich after he had heated confrontation with his teammate Leroy Sane.

At Al Nassr it is rumoured that he is earning more than €650,000 per week.

Mane's takeover was confirmed by the Bourges town mayor Yann Galut in a press conference which was held in Bourges' town hall on Wednesday.

The club was founded two years ago when two local clubs Bourges Foot and Bourges 18 merger which was proposed the town's mayor

The club's president confirmed during press conference that Sadio Mane started to help the club with money few years ago before he decide to buy it.

Outside football,Sadio Mane is popular amongst young and old people for his heart-warming work he do in his village back in Senegal.

Maine is a humanitarian by nature as he shares his wealth with his people and it was reported that he built a health institution and other crucial facilities for them.
