Millions of people are living in fear in the capital of Sudan,Khartoum after raging fire between two forces fighting for the control of the country.
The fierce clash between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces Rapid Support Forces has claimed close to 100 lives in a period of three days and the bombings of civilians continues.
The unconfirmed reports coming from Sudan claims that the Rapid Support Forces which are led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo have a control of the capital on Monday,17 April.
Dagalo has spoken expressed his views on his official Facebook account whereby he asked the international community to intervene and he detailed the reasons that led him and his forces to go infighting against the state army.
He said the international community must take action now and intervene against the crimes of Sudanese General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan,a radical Islamist who is bombing civilians from the air. His army is waging a brutal campaign against innocent people, bombing them with MiGs.
He maintained that his forces are fighting for the people of Sudan and promised to continue with the pursuit of his opponent and he mentioned that this fight is for democracy.,/p>
"We are fighting against radical Islamists who hope to keep Sudan isolated and in the dark, and far removed from democracy. We will continue to pursue Al-Burhan and bring him to justice.
"The fight that we are waging now is the price of democracy. We did not attack anyone. Our actions are merely a response to the siege and assault against our forces. We are fighting for the people of Sudan to ensure the democratic progress, for which they have so long yearned," he said.
He promised to protect the civilians from any harm that might be posed to them and promised to protect the democracy of the Sudanese people.
"We are taking every possible measure to ensure the safety and security of the people. We will not allow any harm to come to them, and we will do everything within our power to protect democracy and uphold rule of law in Sudan. We will prevail and achieve peace and stability", he concluded.
The removal of Omar al-Bashir as the President of Sudan in 2019 has caused more harm because the two generals that are fighting now in 2021 orchestrated a coup against then Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok who fled to exile for safety.
