IPSS Medical Rescue has reported that two people died in a serious collision involved two light motor vehicles on the Mandeni Link Road in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday afternoon.
The paramedics that rushed to the scene confirmed that two people died on the scene and other six sustained injuries.
"The light coloured motor vehicle was travelling with two occupants,sadly the collision left one woman deceased,and a second in a critical condition.
The larger,dark coloured vehicle was travelling with 7 occupants.Sadly the driver sustained fatal injuries,while 6 sustained serious injuries,"said IPSS Medical Rescue on Saturday evening.
IPSS Medical Rescue added that patients were stabilised and treated on scene before being transported to various facilities by IPSS Medical Rescue.
On Sunday morning,IPSS Medical Rescue has reported that one person died in another accident happened on N2 near the Scottburgh offramp which involved a light motor vehicle and bakkie.
"In the early hours of this morning,IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on the N2 near the Scottburgh offramp.
On arrival of paramedics it was established that a light motor vehicle had rear-ended a bakkie resulting in both vehicles losing control,"said IPSS Medical Rescue this morning on its Facebook page.
The paramedics revealed that multiple people were injured and one died in that accident,and those sustained injuries were transported to hospital.
"Multiple patients injuries ranging from minor to critical with one person sadly sustaining fatal injuries.Two people were found to be severely entrapped in the wreckage and were extricated by Umdoni Fire Department.
"Two patients with critical injuries were stabilised on scene by an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic before being transported to hospital for further care.
Seven other patients were treated and transported to hospital by EMRS and other services providers,"concluded IPSS Medical Rescue.
