The white Toyota Avanza which was transporting four children to creche was struck by a white Toyota Quantum taxi on R102 and Northern Drive in Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday morning.
According to security company statement,members of the Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 06:41.On arrival,Reaction Officers found that injured being attended to by paramedics from a private ambulance service.The 53-year-old male driver of the Toyota Avanza sustained neck and spinal injuries.His 21-year-old daughter suffered injuries to her hand.The four minors in the Toyota Avanza were not injured.
The security company mentioned that the driver of the Toyota Quantum taxi was not injured.
Unlicensed driver crashed into a light pole in Everest Heights
The 23-year-old unlicensed driver crashed a silver Toyota Corolla into a light pole on Himalaya Drive in Everest Heights,KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday morning.
The security company statement said eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle was being driven recklessly before the incident occurred.The driver lost control of the car while navigating a bend.The vehicle veered off the road onto a grassy patch,spun around,and collided with a light pole,coming to a complete stop facing the opposite direction of travel.
The statement added that members of Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 07:19.The driver informed Reaction Officers that the car belonged to a friend and had been loaned to him to transport a family member to the hospital.No injuries were reported.
The statement also added that the scene was handed over to Metro Police officers.
