On Friday, hundreds of Israeli mourners gathered outside of the U.S. Embassy and the residence of Benjamin Netanyahu demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
In that gathering Israelis were mourning for Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 7 and even abroad Jews that love peace has been holding vigils and calls for immediate ceasefire.
"Yesterday,in the first event of its kind since the bombardment of Gaza started, hundreds of Israeli mourners assembled in Jerusalem in protest outside of the U.S. Embassy. They gathered to mourn Palestinians killed in Gaza and to demand an immediate ceasefire. The vigil included a recorded message from a Palestinian who fled Gaza, written memorials about those who have been killed, poetry, and music by a Palestinian who was killed,"said Jewish Voice for Peace,a non-profit organisation advocating Palestinian liberation and Judaism beyond Zionism.
The Israelis chose to unite against a senseless killing of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, and mistreatment of Israeli Palestinians in workplaces and even Israeli Jews who speak against the suffering are targeted by government of Israel.
"This vigil comes as the Israeli government is severely repressing and punishing any recognition of the suffering in Gaza or of the Palestinians who have been killed since October 7th.This most directly affects Palestinians who have sought to mourn their family or friends,or who dared to speak out about the atrocities committed in Gaza. Many Palestinians across Israel have been arrested, threatened, and forced out of work for social media posts or statements.Israeli Jews have also faced repression in this crackdown,"added Jewish Voice for Peace.
That gathering outside U.S. Embassy and Benjamin Netanyahu's residence has shown that there are Jews who are fed up by an ongoing dehumanizing of Palestinians which has been happening for decades.
"With every day that the massacre in Gaza continues,a part of our humanity dies, too.Palestinians are being slaughtered, imprisoned, severely tortured, and hunted down simply for speaking out, expressing grief,or attempting to maintain their livelihood. It is our collective responsibility to do everything within our power to stop the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement of the Palestinian people.Do not acquiesce to the horrific dehumanization of Palestinian lives. We all must act now."said Oneg Ben Dror,a participant in the vigil, according to Jewish Voice for Peace.
The JVP has made it clear that not only Israeli government deserve to be hold accountable for an ongoing genocide towards Palestinians.
"We're sending strength and solidarity to our partners on the ground who pulled off this powerful action yesterday.Jewish Israelis understand that it's not only the Israeli regime to hold to account, but also the U.S. government which is acting as a full partner in this genocidal war on Palestinians. The only way to end this collective anguish is to build a future of mutual prosperity beyond genocide, occupation, closure, airstrikes, ground invasions, and massacre,"concluded Jewish Voice for Peace.
Thousands of Palestinians killed
The Israeli government has authorised the killing of more than 20,000 innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Israeli occupation army has been killing even journalists, medical teams and bombing hospitals even United Nations(UN) facilities which are protected according to international law.
The U.S. government is deeply involved in an ongoing genocide in Gaza because majority of bombs discovered in Gaza are made in U.S.
Since October 7,Israeli forces has bombed and destroyed nearly 56 schools,110 mosques and 3 churches.
The U.S government has given Israeli government an impunity to continue with its ruthless killing of Palestinians.
