Khuzani Mpungose will be hosting a music festival themed as 'Blue Nation 15 Years Celebration' on 22 March 2025 at Carnival City where he will be celebrating his fifteen years journey in the industry as a Maskandi artist.
In his history making event,he will be accompanied by Maskandi,Gospel and Hip Hop artists such as Dr Buselaphi,Gatsheni,Limit,Mzukulu,Falabo,Skweletu,Navigator,Falabo,Jumbo,Inkosi Yamagcokama,Big Zulu and many more.
His upcoming event has attracted many people which includes different media houses which invited him for interviews and today did an interview at 09:00 in an English commercial radio station 702 and had his second interview at 11:30 on television news channel Newsroom Afrika.
He was born and bred in a village of eMandaba,Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal province and was raised by his late grandmother Cagwe Mpungose who passed away last December after his parents died while he was a teenager.
After completing his matric,he went to Pretoria to search green pastures and there he worked as a security guard for a couple years and he revealed that he continued to work as a watchman while his songs were playing non-stop on different radio stations across the country.
Khuzani began his professional music career in 2011 when he released his debut album 'Bahluleke Bonke' which was well-received by Maskandi music lovers and that album paved way for him to new heights in the music industry.
Over the period of 15 years,Khuzani released numerous albums such as Inyoni Yomthakathi(2016),Inhlinini Yoxolo(2018),Inhloko Nesixhanti(2019),Isipoki Esingafi(2020),Inja Nogodo(2021),Umqhele Nethawula(2022),Aliboli Icala(2023) and his latest album Angidlali Nezingane released last year.
His albums received positive feedback in music platforms such as Spotify,Apple Music and YouTube Music as they gained millions of listeners,and on Spotify alone his music has over 250,000 monthly listeners.
Last December,his song featuring Sphesihle Zulu was voted as The Song of the Year on Umhlobo Wenene FM a public radio station based in Eastern Cape which is owned by South African Broadcasting Coorporation(SABC) which broadcasts mainly in Xhosa language.
He won twice the song of the year competition on Ukhozi FM with his popular songs include Ijele(2021) and Umjolo Lowo(2023) through those songs he awarded with Ukhozi FM Song of the Year Award and he gained more enemies because of that competition.
