The Lebanese military group Hezbollah has finally confirmed the death of their leader Hassan Nasrallah who was assassinated by Israel's targeted airstrike in the southern suburb of Beirut in Lebanon on Friday evening.
The Hezbollah confirmation came hours after Israel Defence Force(IDF) claimed that its airstrikes on Beirut has killed Nasrallah.
"His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has joined his great, immortal martyr comrades whose path he led for nearly thirty years, guiding them from victory to victory. He succeeded the Master of Martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in 1992 until the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and to the glorious divine victory in 2006 and all the battles of honor and sacrifice, arriving at the battle of support of Palestine,Gaza, and the oppressed Palestinian people,"said Hezbollah on Telegram.
Nasrallah's untimely death has shaken all the corners of Middle East whereby Islamic Resistance Movements exist because they viewed him as their pillar of strength against powerful army of Israel.
The killing of Nasrallah was even condemned by Palestinian resistance movements and described his killing as barbaric because civilian residential buildings were bombed.
"We strongly condemn this barbaric zionist aggression and the targeting of residential buildings in Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of Beirut, considering it a cowardly terrorist act,a massacre, and a vile crime, reiterating the bloodiness and brutality of this occupation,a rogue entity that flouts all values, norms, and international treaties, blatantly threatening global security and peace amidst international silence and inaction,"said Hamas on Telegram.
Israel has been patiently monitoring every single move of Nasrallah for almost a year because under his guidance Hezbollah has been firing rockets to northern Israel in support of Gaza,he vowed that he will only stop firing rockets and missiles to Israel once a ceasefire is reached in Gaza.
According to Israel,Hezbollah and other Islamic Resistance groups are receiving financial and military support from Iran so that they can destroy Israel.
"We extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the honorable family of Sayyed Hassan,to Hezbollah and its fighters,to the Lebanese people and to the Islamic nation,"said Ansarallah Supreme Political Council.
During that airstrikes,Israel also assassinated the IRGC commander responsible for the Lebanon file,Abbas Nilforoushan,as he was with Nasrallah at the time.
Nasrallah was born in 1960 in Lebanon and he was one of the founders of the Hezbollah in 1982 and he took over as its leader in 1992 after the assassination of al-Mawusi by Israeli forces.
