Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will join the US side Inter Miami after many speculations about his next move after leaving Paris Saint German(PSG).
Messi's move was unexpected because numerous publications were speculating that he might join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia follows news reports about Saudi club interest into his service.
He will join the Inter Miami on a free transfer move after spending two years in Ligue 1 in France where he played for PSG.
His next move would be his first time to play outside of Europe as he spent his entire career in Spain playing for FC Barcelona before joining PSG.
But right now it is unclear that how many seasons he will spend with the US side and nobody knows yet how much his new deal with Inter Miami worth compares to what the Saudis were willing to offer him to come there.
His former club FC Barcelona has released a statement to wish him all the best in his next move after they were informed by his representative that Lionel Messi has opted to join a club which is out of the spotlight.
According to Barca statement said that both Joan Laporta and Jorge Messi also agreed to work together to promote a proper tribute from Barca fans to honor the footballer.
Barca said that on Monday,June 5,Jorge Messi,the player's father and representative,informed Club President Joan Laporta of the player's decision to join Inter Miami,despite having been presented with a proposal from Barca,in consideration of the desire of both FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi for him once again wear blaugrana.
Messi has excelled both in club and national level,last year has won World Cup with his Argentinian national team in Qatar and that has gave him a relief to go to North America.
