Metrofile Holdings GCEO Pfungwa Serima will step down month end

Metrofile Holdings,a records and information management company listed in Johannesburg Stock Exchange(JSE) has announced that its Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Pfungwa Serima will step down on 30 September 2024 after 9 years in the helm.
The company clarified that he will however continue to be available to the Group on a full-time basis until 31 December 2024 to facilitate a smooth transition.
According to Metrofile Holdings,Pfungwa has advised the Board of his wish to chart a new path and explore new opportunities after three decades in corporate leadership roles.
Over the past nine years,Metrofile Holdings has realised a steady growth under the leadership of Pfungwa Serima and its revenue skyrocketed.
The company said Pfungwa has made an invaluable contribution in pivoting the Group and driving its digital strategy.Revenue from digital services has increased from less than 1% at the time he joined to 26% as at the end of the 30 June 2024 financial year.Another milestone during Pfungwa's tenure was the business crossing the R1 billion revenue mark.
The company's Board has thanked Pfungwa for his years of leadership and wishes him well as he pursues the next chapter of his career.
Metrofile Holdings' Board has completed the process to find a replacement of an outgoing GCEO and it chosen Mr Thabo Seopa as someone who will takeover as the GCEO at the beginning of next month and armed with extensive experience in the corporate world.
Seopa is currently serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Metrofile,and he served as an interim Chief Executive Officer of AfriGIS,a geospatial information data science company from 1 March 2022 to 31 August 2024.
Seopa also served as CEO and Managing Director of Trudon,the publisher of the Yellow Pages and Phone book.During his tenure Trudon was transformed to a Digital Media company offering website production and hosting,Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media Advertising.
Seopa worked for multinational financial institutions such as HSBC and UBS as an investment banker.
Metrofile Holdings also promoted Shivan Mansingh as Managing Director of Metrofile Records Management South Africa will assume his new role on 1 October 2024,and he will continue in his current role as Group Chief Financial Officer up until his replacement is found,and will continue to serve as an Executive Director of the Group.
The company also announced changes on its committee and confirmed that Thabo will relinquish his membership of the Audit,Governance and Risk Committee.The Board confirmed an appointment of Andile Khumalo as an Independent Non-Executive Director as well as a member of the Strategy and Investment Committee starting from 1 October 2024.
