The 42-year-old woman who is a mother of five children was stabbed six times by her jealousy intoxicated boyfriend on Saturday afternoon at Redcliffe in KwaZulu-Natal.
The Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) revealed that a jealousy boyfriend attacked his girlfriend after he found her ex-boyfriend in the house.
"Members of Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) arrived on the scene and were informed by the seriously injured female that her ex-partner, who is the father of two of her children, visited his children at the home earlier in the day.
"The woman's current boyfriend arrived and found the man inside the house. After the ex-partner left, an argument broke out between the couple over his visit.
The victim reported that her intoxicated boyfriend turned violent during the confrontation. He produced a knife and repeatedly stabbed her in the chest, neck, and head before fleeing the scene. She suffered severe blood loss," said RUSA.
Reaction Officers and bystanders assisted on the scene before she was transported privately to hospital for urgent medical care, concluded RUSA.
Man stabbed on the chest while attending function
Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) reported that a 35-year-old man was left seriously injured after a stabbing incident on Crocodile Road at Waterloo in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday afternoon.
The security company mentioned that the victim which was intoxicated did not recall what really happened to him.
"The call for assistance was received at approximately 21:54. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) arrived at the scene and were informed that the victim had been consuming alcohol with friends at a function in the area when the altercation occurred.
"Under the influence of alcohol and struggling to communicate due to the severity of his chest wound, the man recalled few details but believed the attack happened during an attempted robbery.
"A taxi driver, who was also present at the function, informed Reaction Officers that he had seen the injured man earlier in the evening but was unsure of the circumstances leading to the stabbing. The victim is reportedly known within the community.
The injured man was transported privately to a medical facility," said RUSA.
