Orlando Pirates has wrapped CAF Champions League group stages in a happy mood after beating Al Ahly 1-2 in front of thousands of its supporters at Cairo International Stadium on Saturday evening.

Pirates finished Group C leading on top with 14 points and won four games out of six,recorded two draws,and scored 10 goals and conceded only 4 goals as they are heading to the quarterfinals of the competition.

During the first 45 minutes,both teams struggled to find at the back of the net and that half goalless and that results were not favourably for the home team which wanted to secure win as early as possible.

The visiting team showed much improvements in the second-half because in the 53rd minutes managed to crack the solid defence of the host when Relebohile Mofokeng netted an opener after receiving a beautiful ball from Talent Mbatha.

Mofokeng's goal boosted the momentum of the Buccaneers as they were busy battling with ruthless strikers of the Red Devils which were attacking non-stop seeking an equaliser,the Red Devils' equaliser was scored on the 69th minute by Hussein El Shahat.

Bucs' star Mofokeng has scored four goals and recorded two assists in the CAF Champions League group stages so far and football enthusiasts must expect more from him in next rounds of the competition.

The second goal for Bucs was scored on the 83rd minute by Tshegofatso Mabasa to make the score 1-2 and that goal was the last nail to the coffin of the African champions.

Mofokeng was named as the Man of the Match after his sterling performance which contributed to the crucial victory for his club away from home.
