Orlando Pirates has turned its focus to domestic football and preparing to host Magesi FC tonight during Carling Knockout quarter-final encounter which will kick-off at 19:00,Orlando Stadium.

The Buccaneers knows very well that playing reigning champions will be not a walk in the park and are expecting tough match against Dikwena tsa Meetse.

Bucs are heading in this encounter with low morale after being kicked out of the CAF Champions League on the past Saturday by Democratic Republic of Congo outfit St. Eloi  Lupopo at their own kraal.

During CAF Champions League clash,Pirates was eliminated in a penalty shootout following a 3-3 aggregate stalemate.

Magesi is heading into that match in a happy mood after they crushed AmaZulu FC 3-2 in the opening round of the Carling Knockout and kept their title defence alive.

The opposition is expected to come with a full complement of its players including veteran goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze after he suffered a minor injury against TS Galaxy in a Betway Premiership encounter few weeks ago.

In a domestic football,Pirates has participated exceptionally well as they played 10 matches without conceding a defeat,including Carling Knockout round 16 victory against Siwelele FC where they won 1-0 with the goal scored by defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi in the last minutes.

The Buccaneers reported no fresh injuries after their physical clash over the past weekend,the club revealed that the likes of Selaelo Rasebotja and Thabiso Sesane are recovering very well after suffered injuries.

Last season,Pirates was eliminated in the first round of Carling Knockout by Magesi in a five-goal thriller and that was huge setback for Soweto gaints.
