Thousands of students join an ongoing pro-Palestine demonstrations which are spreading like wildfire across different U.S universities.
U.S students took upon themselves and demand that their universities must stop investment on Israel because of its ongoing genocide in Gaza which has claimed more than 34,000 Palestinian civilians in a period of 200 days since October 2023.
These protests are in support of Palestinian rights which had been continuously violated by Israeli government for nearly seven decades, and these students are calling for an end to the occupation of Palestinian territories.
So,Ivy League universities such as Yale,MIT,Columbia University,UC Berkeley and many others across the country had witnessed a set up of encampments in solidarity with people of Palestine.
U.S law enforcement agencies find it difficult to dismantle these non-violent protests and encampment, and government officials threatened to call the National Guard to come and disperse the students.
The Palestine Solidarity Committee(PSC) at University of Texas,Austin is demanding the release of all students that were arrested by police.
The Palestine Solidarity Committee confirmed that more than 50 UT Austin students and community members got arrested by the state troopers.
Why U.S government suppress pro-Palestine protests?
President Joe Biden's administration is openly supporting an ongoing ethnic cleansing in Gaza and West Bank which is carried by Israeli forces which are financial sponsored by the United States.
Few days ago,US Congress has approved US$13 billion of military aid to Israel which is aimed to give a financial muscle to Zionist regime which is busy slaughtering women and children across Gaza Strip.
Over the period of seven decades,U.S government has vetoed dozens of United Nations Security Council(UNSC) resolutions which were aimed to put an end in an ongoing conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, since 1948,U.S has spent more than US$250 billion in military aid to Israel.
