Last night,President Cyril Ramaphosa has unveiled his long overdue cabinet which he expanded to accommodate all political parties that supported his re-election.

The cabinet announcement was delayed because African National Congress(ANC) and Democratic Alliance(DA) had endless disagreements and demands when it came to ministerial positions.

During his cabinet announcement,Ramaphosa shocked the masses when he announced a bloated cabinet which has more ministers and deputy ministers.

His cabinet comprises members of his own political party African National Congress,Democratic Alliance,Inkatha Freedom Party,Pan African Congress,Freedom Front Plus and United Democratic Movement.

He increased the size of his multi-party coalition government cabinet from 65 to 76 ministers when compared to a 6th administration and his so-doing would force the state to cough up close to R6 billion in five years to pay the salaries and benefits for this new cabinet.

In his new cabinet,Ramaphosa has disappointed the majority of South Africans when he duplicate deputy ministers positions in some of the departments just to reward those who supported his re-election.

He rewarded Democratic Alliance with six ministerial positions in departments such as Agriculture,Basic Education,Public Works and Infrastructure,Home Affairs,Communications and Digital Technology, and Forestry,Fisheries and the Environment.

He appointed the Democratic Alliance Leader,John Steenhuisen as the Minister of Agriculture and that department was created exclusively for him because before this bloated cabinet it was a part of Land Reform and Rural Development Department.

He rewarded other parties such as IFP,Good Party,FF+,PA and PAC with ministerial positions in attempts to strengthen his cabinet.

Parties such as UDM and Al Jama-ah were given only positions of deputies, the UDM Leader Bantu Holomisa was appointed as Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans.

Ramaphosa has ensured his party's members are featured in his bloated cabinet and that why he chose to duplicate deputy ministers positions,in this cabinet ANC has 20 ministers and 33 deputy ministers.
