The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has spoken for the first time without taking side in an ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine which broke out on Saturday morning.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended his condolences to all victims of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

South African government is known for advocating and speaking against illegal occupation of Palestine land for years and urged the international communities to force Israel government to abide to the UN Resolution of 1967.

Ramaphosa has called for an immediate and unconditional opening of humanitarian corridors which are blocked by Israel government few days ago.

"Our thoughts are with all the victims families and loved ones during this perilous period of fighting. We remain gravely concerned at the devastating escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the atrocities committed against civilian populations. We call for the immediate cessation of violence and the exercise of restraint. It is vital that all those who require urgent humanitarian assistance are provided with the basic life supporting necessities and that human suffering is ameliorated,"said President Ramaphosa.

According to the Presidency, the President further urged the international community to accelerate its support to an inclusive process towards a lasting and durable peace that produces a viable Palestinian State, existing in peace alongside Israel, within the 1967 internationally recognised borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

South Africa is known for its role when it comes to mediation and conflict resolution in and outside the continent of Africa.

"South Africa stands ready to work with the international community and to share our experience in mediation and conflict resolution as we have done on the continent and around the world,"he concluded.

For years, black South Africans were subjected to oppression such as that is experiencing by people of Palestine under the illegal occupation of their land by the regime of Israel, and it achieved democracy in 1994 after being helped by international communities which pressured apartheid government to stop the abuse.

Why Palestinians keep on attacking Israel

Palestinians are resisting Israel's military occupation and an expansion of illegal settlements which is against the United Nations resolution of 1967,the Zionist regime has been terrorising them for more than seven decades since 1948.

Most of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are living their life in hell because of Israel which is controlling anything moving in and out of that piece of land since 2005 and Gaza Strip is rule by Hamas and the leadership of Hamas made it clear that they will never recognise the State of Israel as long as still occupying the Palestinian lands illegal both in Gaza and West Bank.
