The South African Police Service(SAPS) has announced on Friday that three police officers which were found dead in the Hennops River in Centurion in the past week will be given an official funeral in the upcoming days in Free State province.
The joint statement said after a meeting,which was held between the families of the late Constables Cebekhulu Linda(24),Boipelo Senoge(24),and Keamogetswe Buys(30),the Premier of the Free State,Honourable Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae and the Provincial Commissioner of Police in the Free State,Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane,a decision has been taken to afford and honour the members with official funerals.
The official funerals for the fallen police officers will take on separate dates between 08 and 10 May 2025.
The state will begin with the funeral of Constable Boipelo Senoge on Thursday,08 May 2025,the service will held at St Peter Anglican Church,Rocklands,Mangaung at 08:00 to 11:00,and her body would rest at South Park Cemetry.
The funeral of Constable Cebekhulu Linda will be on Friday,09 May 2025,the funeral service will begin at 08:00 to 11:00 and the venue will be confirmed and would be buried at Magengenene in Mangaung.
Constable Keamogetswe Buys will be buried on Saturday,10 May 2025 in Thaba Nchu,and the funeral service will be begin at 08:00 to 11:00 and the venue will be confirmed.
The memorial service for the constables will be held at Bobbiespark,02 Hannah Street in Bloemfontein and will start at 12:00 on Tuesday,06 May 2025.
The South African Police Service and the Free State Provincial Government extend deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen members.Their passing touched the country deep,but their dedication and contribution will never be forgotten,the joint statement concluded.
