Kaizer Chiefs have officially bolstered their squad ahead of the new campaign with the acquisition of experienced Tanzanian defensive midfielder Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from domestic giants Azam FC. The 27-year-old arrives at Naturena on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, marking a historic milestone as he becomes the very first Tanzanian player to wear the famous Gold and Black jersey of Amakhosi.

During his time in Iceland – notably with KR Reykjavik and Keflavik – he accumulated vital silverware, including the Icelandic Super Cup in 2020 and the Reykjavik Cup in 2019 and 2020. This extensive exposure to European football structures provided him with a robust tactical foundation that distinguishes him from many of his peers.
