The United Nations's OCHA has confirmed that Israeli occupation army has killed 339 innocent Palestinians between 27 and 28 January 2024 in Gaza.

OCHA is part of the United Nations Secretariat and is led by the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator.

Over the weekend, the Israeli forces continued with their ruthless bombardment which spared no even places such as hospitals and rocket were fired to Israel from Gaza.

According to UN OCHA,intense Israeli bombardment from air, land and sea continued across much of the Gaza Strip on 27 and 28 January, resulting in further civilian casualties, displacement, and destruction.Hostilities were particularly intense in Khan Younis, with heavy fighting reported in proximity to Nasser and Al Almal hospitals, with reports of Palestinians fleeing to the southern town of Rafah, which is already overcrowded, despite the lack of safe passage.Rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel continued as well.Ground operations and fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups were also reported across much of Gaza.Hostilities were particularly intense in Khan Younis, with heavy fighting reported.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation army struck a residential building and viciously killed eight civilians.

On Friday, ten civilians murdered and dozens injured by evil forces of Israel when struck a residential building in Deir al Balah.

On Friday too,the Israeli forces struck Nuseirat Refugee Camp and ruthless killed six Palestinians and others suffered severe injuries.

On Friday, the occupation forces murdered three Palestinians in an airstrike in eastern Rafah, which was regarded as safe zone.

OCHA said between the afternoons of 26 and 28 January, according to the Ministry of Health(MoH) in Gaza,339 Palestinians were reportedly killed(165 people on 28 January and 310 on 27 January).Between 7 October 2023 and 12:00 on 28 January 2024,at least 26,422 Palestinians were killed in Gaza and 65,087 Palestinians were injured, according to the MoH.

The occupation army was so lucky in the past weekend because no death was reported but since October last year that has suffered huge blow for well-equipped military.

OCHA said between the afternoons of 26 January and 28 January,no Israeli soldier was reportedly killed in Gaza.As of 26 January,218 soldiers were killed, and 1,269 soldiers injured in Gaza, according to the Israeli military.

Israel deny humanitarian aid to reach Gaza

Israeli army has been preventing humanitarian aid to enter to Gaza as it was planned and that affects millions of Palestinians who are in need of that aid.

According to OCHA,between 1 and 25 January,51 missions to deliver humanitarian aid were planned for the north of Wadi Gaza;however, only eight were facilitated by the Israeli military while 29 were denied. Most of the missions that were facilitated were related to food distribution, while support to critical hospitals and WASH facilities were largely denied. Two missions were partially facilitated and another four were postponed(due to security and other requirements). In an emerging pattern,an additional eight planned missions were initially facilitated, but subsequently impeded as routes designated by the Israeli military proved to be unpassable,or the imposition of excessive delays prior to the departure of the missions or at checkpoints en route.

The United Nations has confirmed on numerous occupations that the Israeli military is complicating their missions and the military did not UN requests to access Gaza.

OCHA said none of the 22 requests by the United Nations to the Israeli military to open checkpoints early to access areas north of Wadi Gaza(in January) were facilitated.Given the heavy congestion around UN warehouses and the high levels of needs, early movement is essential for security, programmatic and protection reasons. The humanitarian community has consistency called for both main supply routes(MSRs) to be open in Gaza, and for checkpoints to open at 6:00 every day.Only one of the two main supply routes has been made available for aid missions so far.
