Abantu Batho Congress(ABC),President Cllr PG Mavundla joins the ActionSA court fight aginst eThekwini Municipality to force an embattled metro to fix its water systems which are a mess.
The presence of Mavundla in court would be very helpful for the ActionSA in KwaZulu-Natal because he served as a Deputy Mayor of the eThekwini Municipality a position he was booted out through a vote of no confidence.
He publicly apologised to the residents of eThekwini for his involvement on installing ANC to govern the municipality after the local government election in 2021.
His political party was very instrumental on rallying the support for ANC to retain its leadership in the municipality.
On 21 Febraury 2023,Mavundla and ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Chairperson,Zwakele Mncwango gathered in Durban whereby they publicly declared their marriage and he promised to assist the court to compel the municipality and he will furnish it with important documents that detailed everything about eThekwini Municipality.
Mavundla is expected to be present in court on 27 February 2023 as ActionSA is going to request the court to force the municipality to prioritise water infrastructure and he might be a key witness.
Mncwango seems excited to have someone like Mavundla in his crew and is confident that their collaboration will reap rewards for eThekwini people.
"We believe that ABC President Cllr PG Mavundla will be an asset to our litigation against eThekwini Metro as he has a wealth of understanding of the current state of infrastructural decay in the city."-said Zwakele Mncwango
