After general elections, the liberation movement announced that the disciplinary hearing for its former President was to going to be held on 23 July 2024 through virtual platform.

According to a leaked letter which is circulating on social media issued by the party's office of the Secretary General has revealed that the decision to expel Jacob Zuma was adopted on 28 July 2024 by the National Disciplinary Committee.

In that letter,ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula was informing the party's National Executive Committee,Provincial Secretaries and ANC Structures about the findings of the disciplinary committee against Mr Zuma.

In that letter,Mbalula mentioned that the charged member is found guilty of contravening Rule 25.17,17.4 of the ANC Constitution, read with subsection(2),for prejudicing the integrity or repute of the Organisation by acting in collaboration with a registered political party,to wit the uMkhonto We Sizwe Party, which is not in alliance with the ANC,in a manner contrary to the aims, policies and objectives of the ANC.

The MK Party has lambasted the decision of the ANC and also revealed that Mr Zuma will engage with his legal team to seek advice.

"uMkhonto we Sizwe will not passively watch as these grave injustices against its leader unfold.President Zuma will engage his legal team to urgently determine the course of action and ensure that justice is served.Upon such the conclusion of consultations,President Zuma will announce further actions based on the guidance of these consultations,"said Nhlamulo Ndhlela,MK Party Spokesperson.
