Miss South Africa 2024 pageant finalist Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina has withdraw from the competition and cites safety as the reason for her withdrawal.

She announced her withdrawal on her Instagram account because she realised that her lies has opened cans of worms for herself and her family as she claimed to be a South African.

In her withdrawal statement, she did not forget to thank all who supported in her journey as she was competing for a huge pageant in the country and she emphasised that she enjoyed to be a part of that competition.

"I would like to start off by thanking everyone who has stood beside me right from the start of my Miss South Africa journey.I'm really grateful for all the love and support I have been shown.

Being part of the Miss South Africa 2024 competition has been amazing journey however, after much careful consideration,I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the safety and wellbeing of my family and I.With the support of the Miss South Africa Organisation,I leave with a heart full of gratitude for this amazing experience,"said Chidimma Adetshina.

Although, she chose to withdraw but she continued to wish other contestants remained behind all the best.

She said I would like to take this opportunity to wish my fellow finalists all of the best for the remainder of the competition.Whoever wears the crown represents us all.

Adetshina has chosen to concede defeat because she is aware that her chances to escape her citizenship debacle is far from over after the Department of Home Affairs confirmed last night that her mother committed fraud and identity theft in 2001 while she was an infant.

Her mother's illegal actions had dragged down her reputation and talent in the mud as she failed to defend herself when she was accusing of lying when she claimed that her mother had links to Zulu tribe although she is a Mozambican while her father is a Nigerian.

Today(on Thursday),the Patriotic Alliance has already approached the court to demand the withdrawal of Chidimma because she is not a right candidate to be a face of Miss South Africa pageant.

Chidimma will continue to use her South African citizenship up until the court proves that there was a fraud committed by her mother or not to obtain citizenship in South Africa.

South African popular radio presenter and businessman Sibusiso Leope popular known as DJ Sbu has apologised to the people of South Africa for defending Chidimma when she was attacked on social media, and Mr Leope's energy drink company which produces Mofaya is one of the sponsors of the Miss South Africa.

Not only DJ Sbu defended Chidimma, however even public figures such as Julius Malema,Lerato Kganyago,Pearl Thusi and former South African public protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela.
