The police in Limpopo succeeded to arrest the second suspect which is allegedly linked to the brutal murder of a farmer in the Tolwe policing area under Capricorn District few days ago.
The police statement said a second suspect, aged 30, was arrested during the early hours of Thursday,04 December 2025, at Shongoane 01 in the Lephalale policing area in connection with the murder and robbery incident that occurred at a farm in the Tolwe policing area.
The police mentioned that this arrest follows just days after the apprehension of the first suspect on Tuesday, 02 December 2025.
The police acknowledged that the suspects were arrested through a coordinated operations involving members of the Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit, Tolwe and Mokopane Detectives, including Bosbeld Misdaad Ondersoeke, and Bosveld Plaasbeveiliging Security Companies.
The police revealed the identity of the farmer murdered by the suspects and also confirmed that the second suspect will before court today.
"The brutal attack resulted in the death of 77-year-old Mr Attie Mahne, who was found tied up and unconscious inside his farmhouse. He was certified dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services(EMS). A reported stolen firearm was recovered.
The second suspect is expected to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate's Court on Friday, 05 December 2025. The first suspect on this matter, Hendrick Chimule appeared before the Tolwe Periodical Court today and the matter has been postponed to the 29 January 2026 for further investigation. He will remain in custody. The police investigations are continuing," said the police statement on Thursday.
