Ugandan politician Bobi Wine partially released from hospital

Ugandan politician and musician Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi popular known as Bobi Wine was partially released from Nsambya Hospital after being shot in the leg by police on Tuesday.
Bobi Wine has announced his release on his Facebook page and cited his safety as one of the reasons that forced him to ask the hospital staff to allow him to go home because security operatives came in the hospital to cause havoc.
He said once the regime learned of my admission,security operatives came to the hospital and harassed the doctors treating me,demanding for details of my medical records.
He revealed that they also made several attempts to forcefully access my treatment room but were held off by our vigilant comrades.As if that wasn't enough,they also blocked all roads leading to the hospital,thereby disrupting hospital traffic flow and endangering more lives.
He clarified that consequently,after undergoing minor surgery to remove all foreign bodies that had remained in my leg,I decided to return home prematurely today for the sake of my safety,and out of consideration for other patients at Nsambya Hospital who do not deserve the inconvenience and intimidation.I will get the rest of my treatment from home.
Bobi Wine was shot by police which was accompanied military when he was coming back from visiting of their lawyers Musisi George who resides at Bulindo,Wakiso District in Kira.
Kyagulanyi has been regarded as threat by Ugandan and National Resistance Movement(NRM) President Yoweri Museveni to his dictatorial rule which has been going more than 35 years.
In 2021,during general elections Bobi Wine's political party National Unity Platform(NUP) rejected official results which proclaimed dictator Museveni as a winner.
Bobi Wine's political journey was started to be noticed in 2017 when he announced his candidacy for parliament in a by-election for Kyadondo County East constituency.
In July 2019,he announced his interest to run for presidential election in the 2021 general election and in 2020 he joined National Unity Platform party and was elected as party's president and the face of the party in the ballot paper.
