Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) reported that an unidentified man was brutally murdered after being shot with a rain of bullets at Hammonds Farm in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday morning. 

The security company said eleven(11) spent 9mm cartridges and two(2) live rounds of ammunition were recovered at the scene of a murder in Hammonds Farm - KZN this morning(Tuesday).

The security company mentioned that it responded to the crime scene after their operations centre received an emergency call from residents of Hammonds Farm that informed them about the shooting and upon their arrival they found man lying dead in an unpaved area.

"Residents of a housing complex contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) Operations Centre reporting multiple shots were fired in the area.One caller confirmed that a man had been shot,but the state of his injuries were unknown.

Reaction Officer and RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at 09:04.The body of a male was discovered in an unpaved area.He was shot multiple times in the head,face and neck.His left eye was dislodged from its socket.The man showed no signs of life and was declared deceased,"RUSA added.

The security company revealed that the person who killed the deceased was traveling with VW Polo and also pointed out that the motive for the killing was not known during the time they released the statement.

"Witnesses informed Reaction Officers that a silver VW Polo(registration unknown) parked on the main road.The passenger disembarked,approached the deceased and opened fire on him before they sped off from the scene.

The identity of the fatally injured man has not been established and the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage,"concluded RUSA. 

In a separate,RUSA reported that a 19-year-old jobseeker was almost raped by an unknown man while she was attending a job interview in Phoenix.

The security company said a 19 year old hairdresser arriving at a salon in Phoenix - KZN for a job interview was lured to an isolated area by an unknown male who attempted to rape her.

The security company mentioned that on Tuesday morning received a call that informed them about an attack of a female and they responded to that call.

"Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) received a call for assistance at 10:00(Tuesday) from residents in the area for the attack on the female that occurred at approx. 07:00.

Upon arrival Reaction Officers were informed that the female arrived at the salon and found the premises locked.An unknown man convinced her that he knew the owners and would point out the residence in Amaoti-KZN.After 30 minutes on foot,the female asked two men also on foot if there were homes in the direction they were walking.When they replied that the area they were heading to was isolated,the female believed that she was going to be murdered,"said RUSA.

According to statement,the young lady told RUSA officers that the unknown man dragged her to an isolated spot and removed her clothes including underwear,luckily she fought back and managed to escape.

"She then attempted to run and the man grabbed her by the neck and dragged her to a nearby river.He then forcefully removed her clothes and underwear and attempted to rape her while threatening to strangle her if she screamed.

While attempting to rape her,the victim broke free and fled to an informal residential area for help,"concluded RUSA.
