The Operation Dudula announced that has successfully appealed the Johannesburg High Court judgement which barred them from checking the nationalities of people at schools and hospitals.
The Operation Dudula Movement SA leader Zandile Dabula confirmed that the appeal automatically suspends the court order - allowing the group to resume its operations in Gauteng.
“We are free to protect South African resources,” said Dabula.
On Monday, the Johannesburg High Court judge ruled in favour of human rights group Kopanang Africa which was represented by Socio-Economic Rights Institute(SERI) when declared Operation Dudula's actions unconstitutional and warned against intimidation of foreign nationals.
The movement maintains that it will proceed with its school inspections and continue what it calls the “protection of public services for South Africa”.
Yesterday, during press conference, the Leader of Operation Dabula insisted that South Africa belongs South Africans and illegal immigration is a crime.
