Bafana Bafana,a South African men national team proceeds to quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) after beating Morocco 2-0 on Tuesday night at Laurent Pokou Stadium.
Nobody was expecting that an unknown South African national team can beat the Moroccans which has a squad that comprises players that plays in major football leagues across Europe.
The South African winning squad for the night was made of ten players which are based in South Africa and those players play for the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns,Orlando Pirates etc.
Bafana Bafana was very aggressive and attacking from the first minutes of the game up until the last minute of the game and that help them overpower the Atlas Lions.
The goals for South Africa scored in the second-half by Evidence Makgopa on the 57th minutes and the sealing goal was scored by Teboho Mokoena in an 90+ minutes of the game.
And those two goals were enough for Hugo Broos' boys to bury the Moroccans alive in a match that very not easy for South Africans.
On the 84th minutes, the Atlas Lions were awarded a penalty which was taken by Hakim Ziyech but he failed to convert it to the back of the net.
On the 90+5 minutes, the Moroccan defensive midfielder Amrabat got a red card after playing rough Teboho Mokoena next to the eighteen area.
Amrabat's poor defending tactic has opened flood gates for his side because Bafana Bafana was awarded a free-kick which was taken by Mokoena and he scored it and that dashed all hopes for Atlas Lions.
