The Secretary of State in the United States of America(USA),Marco Rubio,has expelled the ambassador of South Africa,Ebrahim Rasool for labeling President Donald Trump as an advocate of white supremacy around the world and they felt offended by his remarks.

Rubio announced the expulsion of the South African ambassador on his official X account as Secretary of State on Friday while he was in Quebec,Canada attending G7 countries meeting.

"South Africa's Ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome in our great country.Ebrahim Rasool is a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates POTUS.We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA,"said Secretary Marco Rubio on X.

The United States felt offended by the remarks of Ebrahim Rasool during a webinar which was hosted by Mapungubwe Institute For Strategic Reflection(MISTRA) where they were discussing the implications of changes in US administration for South Africa and Africa.

Rubio relied on the Breitbart website article which written by South African-born Zionist Jew and racist which emigrated to the United States many years ago,and few days ago posted a picture of himself with the members of Afrikaners lobby groups which traveled to U.S.to spread lies about South Africa because are against the government laws that are aimed to redress apartheid and colonialism injustices which are still affecting majority of black people in the country.

The South African government has noted the expulsion of its ambassador by the United States of America and described his expulsion as regrettable.

"The Presidency has noted the regrettable expulsion of South Africa's Ambassador to the United States of America,Mr Ebrahim Rasool.

"The Presidency urges all relevant and impacted stakeholders to maintain the established diplomatic decorum in their engagement with the matter.

"South Africa remains committed to building a mutually beneficial relationship with the United States of America,"the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa said.

The U.S. Department of State sent an officially written letter to the South African Embassy after Marco Rubio already announced the expulsion of Ebrahim Rasool on social media.

That letter sent by U.S. Department of State has ordered Rasool with his family to leave that country no later than March 21 and added that he is no longer eligible to be a member of South African mission in that country.

"The Department of State,in accordance with Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,wishes to inform the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa that Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool is declared persona non grata.The Department of State will no longer recognize Ambassador Rasool as a member of the mission as of Monday,March 17,at which point his privileges and immunities will cease.

"He and his dependent are required to depart the United States no later than March 21.Further,Ambassador Rasool is considered unacceptable for future accreditation as a member of the South African mission to the United States.

"Ambassador Rasool's recent comments regarding the President of the United States were deeply offensive and make it impossible for the United States Government to continue engaging with the Ambassador,"said the U.S. Department of State on March 14,2025.
