Stellenbosch FC has secured its spot in the Nedbank Cup semifinals after crushing SuperSport United 4-0 at Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Stellies has proved from on the onset that were not there to play hide and seeks with Mantsantsantsa a Pitori when they score an early goal of the day on the seventh minute of the first 45 minutes.

The Stellies' first goal was scored by Anicet Oura after reacting fast to Iqraam Rayners' ball which was blocked on the goal-line by the visitors.

On the 32nd minute,Stellies player Devin Titus has tried to double the lead for his team but his beautiful effort was saved by SuperSport United goalkeeper Ricardo Goss.

On the 44th minute,Ricardo Goss also made an impressive save to deny Andre de Jong an opportunity to score and the home team went on half-time leading by one goal.

During the onset of the second-half,Titus doubled the lead for Stellies and it was obvious that he was still angry that Goss denied him a goal in the first-half.

On the 52nd minute,the home team tripled score with the ball netted by de Jong who received the ball from his teammate Jayden Adams.

On the 62nd minute,Rayners scored the fourth goal for Stellies and that goal was the final goal which sunk Gavin Hunt's ship.

Right now,the Stellies are waiting their next opponent in the cup competition which will be announced once all teams played on Sunday.

DStv Premiership performance review

On the DStv Premiership log table,the Stellies are sitting comfortable in position two with 39 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns which is leading with 49 points.

On the league,Stellenbosch FC has played 22 matches so far and has won 11,drew 6 and lost 5,and has scored 17 goals and conceded only 10 goals.

Mantsantsantsa a Pitori are sitting on position six on the DStv Premiership log table with 34 points in 22 matches played so far and in those matches has won only 9,played 7 draws and 6 losses,and has scored 28 goals and conceded 26 goals.

Mantsantsantsa's defense this season is extremely poor because it failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 25 matches they played including cup competitions.
