Mamelodi Sundowns,Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch advanced to group stages of CAF competitions

Three South African football clubs Mamelodi Sundowns,Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC paved their way to the next stages of the CAF competitions over the past weekend.

On Saturday,Mamelodi Sundowns played against eSwatini champions Mbabane Swallows in a CAF Champions League second-leg preliminary round at Lucas Moripe Stadium,Tshwane on Saturday evening.

During that match Mamelodi Sundowns scored four goals to leveled up the score to 8-0 on an aggregate score and those goals were enough for the DStv Premiership champions to proceed to the next stage of the competition.

The South African champions headed to that match already leading with four goals which they scored in the first-leg and those goals were netted by Ribeiro,Lebusa and Rayners which was hosted at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

During a second-leg,players such as Kodisang,Khoza,Lorch and Mkhulise made sure that they sealed the Mbabane Swallows' coffin where they scored four goals too.

On Saturday,the Orlando Pirates hosted Botswana's champions Jwaneng Galaxy for second-leg of CAF Champions League at Orlando Stadium,Johannesburg.

During that encounter,the Buccaneers managed to eliminate Jwaneng Galaxy out of the competition on a 3-0 aggregate score.

The late goal for Bucs which was scored by Monnapule Saleng on the 94th minutes was enough for the Soweto giants to cruise to the next stage of the CAF Champions League.

In the first-leg,Orlando Pirates visited Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana and the visitors managed to defeat the host 0-2 in a match was hosted at National Stadium,Pirates' goals scored by Mabasa and Hotto.

On Sunday,Stellenbosch FC drew 1-1 against Congolese champions AS Vita away from home in the second-leg of CAF Confederations Cup and Mojela's 71st minute goal dashed AS Vita's hopes for the next round of the competition.

Three goals for Stellies was enough to advance to group stages,the goalscorers in the first-leg were Moloisane and Mojela.
